FINS Foundation is composed of a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit in the United States and an officially registered NGO in Belize. Both are governed by an independent, volunteer board of directors responsible for oversight, strategic direction, and ensuring the Foundation stays aligned with its mission.
FINS Foundation is currently in a development phase, working to secure donor funding, build core programming, and establish physical infrastructure—including an operations center in Placencia and a larger caye for field research and marine education.
Once fully operational, all conservation, research, and community-based programming will be executed solely under the Foundation’s legal entities.
FINS is a mission-driven organization committed to restoring biodiversity and protecting our oceans.
Through initiatives like Lionfish Mitigation (Nose to Tail – Fin to Scale), Sea Turtle Conservation (Turtle Tracks: Protecting Our Nesting Turtles & Hatchlings), Education & Outreach (Marine Mindset: Educating on Conservation & Belize), and Camp OAR, we create meaningful conservation impacts while inspiring positive change.
